Jeffrey Schwartz
Jeffrey has an extensive background in numerous areas of civil litigation and appellate work. He represents employees statewide in all manners of employee rights litigation including age discrimination, religious discrimination, sex discrimination, whistleblower protection act violations, sexual harassment, and constructive discharge. Jeffrey is admitted to practice in Maine’s state and federal courts, the First and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeals and has experience in Maine’s Business and Consumer Court. He has also argued before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. After completing law school, Jeffrey worked as a judicial law clerk in South Carolina.
In addition to his legal career, Jeffrey spends considerable time volunteering. He currently is on the Cape Elizabeth Zoning Board of Appeals, coaches numerous sports, is a panelist on the Maine Medical Malpractice Screening Panel, serves as a judge for the Maine State Bar Association High School Mock Trial program, and teaches Hebrew school at Congregation Bet Ha’am in South Portland.
